My name is Shannon Gilmour. I am an indie Christian author
who has survived to tell a story...

To some it is one whopper of a tale, but to me, I can only remain true to my experience. I detail that experience in the book entitled 'Non Existent Entities'.

The reality is...

Have you heard the latest? Sasquatch eats our children. This was a sobering realization as I listened to interviews of David Paulides, a former police investigator who has researched extensively into countless UNSOLVED missing person cases in and around forested areas. Mr. Paulides is a bigfoot researcher who is not new to the writing scene nor is he an arm chair sasquatch enthusiast. He formed the North America Bigfoot Search (NABS) website in 2004 which is a site that documents sightings as well acts as an educational source to help educate the public on all things sasquatch. (www.nabigfootsearch.com)

His book Missing 411 documents unsolved missing persons cases in the United States and Canada. As much as I'd like to write a stellar introduction to this book, I admit I have yet to read it - this introduction is taken from the NABS webiste.

"Missing-411 is the first comprehensive book about people who have disappeared in the wilds of North America. It’s understood that people routinely get lost, some want to disappear but this story is about the unusual. Nobody has ever studied the archives for similarities, traits and geographical clusters of missing people, until now.

A tip from a national park ranger led to 3+ years and a 7000 hour investigative effort into understanding the stories behind people who have vanished. The book chronicles children, adults and the elderly who disappeared, sometimes in the presence of friends and relatives. As Search and Rescue personnel exhaust leads and places to search, relatives start to believe kidnappings and abductions have occurred. The belief by the relatives is not an isolated occurrence; it replicates itself time after time, case after case across North America.

The research depicts 28 clusters of missing people across the continent, something that has never been exposed and was a shocking find to researchers. Topography does play a part into the age of the victims and certain clusters have specific age and sex consistency that is baffling. This is not a phenomenon that has been occurring in just the last few decades, clusters of missing people have been identified as far back as the 1800’s.

The manuscript for the research was extremely large so the story was split between two books, Missing 411 Western United States and Canada and Missing 411 Eastern United States. The Eastern version will be released in late March and will include a list of all missing people in each edition and a concluding chapter that draws both books together for conclusions.

Some of the issues that are discussed in each edition:

• The National Park Service attitude toward missing people

• How specific factors in certain cases replicate themselves in different clusters

• Exposing cases involving missing children that aren’t on any national database

• Unusual behavior by bloodhounds/canines involved in the search process

• How storms, berries, swamps, briar patches, boulder fields and victim disabilities play a role in the disappearance

• The strategies of Search and Rescue personnel need to change under specific circumstances "

The reason why I bring this to your attention is because I feel that with such a CREDIBLE person to help authenticate the validity of sasquatch in its entirety -this should not be ignored. I have to say I'm guilty for ignoring this book because I thought 'here we go, another person documenting the same ol same old in yet another book. '

I am NOT trying to trivialize anyone's experience, but I'm being honest when I say that I don't read bigfoot books. I've read the stories online, and I'm the type of person that does not like to read a book over again. Once I've seen the movie or read the book, that's it. Once is enough. However this book is different. This book has piqued my interest because this book documents from an investigative mind into the underpinnings of how sasquatch operates.

Like I said before, this blog is to expose sasquatch and help to educate the public because I am a firm believer that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. THE MORE YOU KNOW, the better you can protect yourself from the likes of evil that come in the form of sasquatch.

We need protection from sasquatch; not the other way around. Innocence and pacifity will not protect us from the motives of what sasquatch truly are, because this is something the DNA evidence will never be able to prove.

How can we protect ourselves from Sasquatch?
Campers and hikers are extremely suseptible to possible abductions. Never go out into the woods alone.

  • Take pepper spray,
  • wear little bells on your boots, around your wrists, in your hair (around hair bands, in braids)
  • take a whistle with you and teach your children to use it.
  • Carry an air horn with you and have it readily accessible.
  • Communicate with your group. Do not allow people to loose visual contact with eachother.
  • When hiking as a family, use contact bands. ( Elastic wrist bands that tether you to one another.) These also come as harnesses or waist belts.
  • Never allow your children to lag behind you. Always have them walk infront or beside you and always communicate. Talk on your outing, ask them questions. Keep your loved ones upfront and personal and keep the lines of communication open.
  • Know your surroundings. Become observant. Know what your area looked like before and after you pitched your tent.
  • Carry pieces of chalk in your pocket so that if you do become lost, you can drop the colored pieces on the ground as a marker to let others know your where abouts.

  • Do not camp in known sasquatch territory. As much as you maybe excited to have a chance sighting, putting your loved ones at risk is not worth it!

There is one important factor that can and WILL save your life should you encounter the likes of Sasquatch. It is controversial, but it is effective, because education is the best defense as it is the only weapon that we will ever have against these creatures.
