A watchful eye, when you least expect it.

I honestly thought that our time with sasquatch was over.

For the past three weeks we've had a deer, and her fawn visit our yard, I've been trying to get pictures and today, the young one or another one was so close to me, within 15 ft. I was working on a field stone out door fireplace, so it did not see me right away. I wish I had my camera, it was such a perfect opportunity.

The dogs bark and let us know and the white tailed deers maintain their distance. It's a treat for us because in over three years of living on this farm, the wild life has finally returned to our property. The raccoons can stay gone though, I don't mind.

But today I've learned that it really doesn't make a difference, Sasquatch come and go as they please with no one or nothing being the wiser. Whose watching whom?

I worked on the rock fireplace today for a few hours, came inside, made lunch for me and my darling daughter and answered some emails, then decided to get back to work. It feels so good to be able to lift heavy rocks, and work with my hands again. The Lord blessed me with a complete healing from some sort of muscle/tendon issue with my hand , wrist and arm. Praise God!

So I'm working, notice something on the ground right at my work station but ignored it. My mind is on other things, then my daughter mentioned what I took for granted.

"Where'd those spoons come from?" She asked.

I noticed the one, and chose to ignore it, but looked again, there were two spoons, face down. One was a table spoon, the other a teaspoon.  About a foot apart from eachother. They were hard to miss.

Now that it's been brought to my attention, I'm perplexed. Why now? Why return the spoons after all this time, and why at all? It's not like I'm going to wash them up and use them. For Pete's sake ( Who is Pete anyway) Sasquatch had his mouth on them!

So I left the spoons where they were left, with the area littered with rocks, I'm going back out there, but I have so much to do, this was the last thing I thought I'd be dealing with.

This type of stuff always happens when my husband isn't home.

This was really close. This morning I was outside, working and honestly I was working and using the drill right in that spot where the spoons were found, there was nothing, absolutely NOTHING on the ground in the form of missing or scattered tools, or even spoons. I go inside for a couple of hours, and return, and there they are! Two spoons right where I had been working.

So I'm wondering when I'm going to get my lids back that I left out the same time I left those spoons. It's a funny thought, but it's always eventful around here... when you least expect it.

What comes to mind is my favorite scene from "What about Bob"
"Gone! He's NEVER gone!" (The door gets opened and slammed on Bill Murray's face.)
Too funny.
