Scientists have unearthed a remarkable discovery

Scientists have unearthed ancient bones in a cave in Africa believed to pre-date human origins. The remains of an adult female and jeuvenile male were found and scientists have named this species of hominid as Australopithecus sediba.

Although scientists will not go so far as calling this well preserved find as the 'missing link' they admit that this is a promising find never the less. The skeletal remains show that this species had longer arms and a smaller brain while their faces remained 'quite human-like.'

They stood upright at about 4 ft tall, but researchers have already noted that while some of their features remain remarkably human, they exibit features that resemble ape-like hominids. Desipe the wildly dissimilar attributes between this new species and modern humans, scientists are quite hopeful as they inch forward to discover the origins from which group we evolved from.

Scientists suggest that the size of the brain is significant in comparrison to our own and this is the key ingredient into such a discovery. While this species suggests that scientists continue to look in the South Africa region for our origins, the fact remains that there is still a lack of evidence to draw any succinct conclusion from.

With the help of Google Earth, scientists and archeologists have located 500 caves within the area which uncovered 25 more fossil sites. More sites are being discovered to date, and we can be certain that scientists remain vigilant to our cause in hopes to find out who we are.
